It's been 18 years since Rico Yan's tragic death.
Eighteen years have passed but versatile actress Claudine Barretto still mourns the death of her ex-boyfriend and on-screen partner Rico Yan to this day.
The former matinee idol died on March 29, 2002 due to hemorrhagic pancreatitis while on vacation in Palawan.

In a simple tribute she shared on Instagram, Claudine described the death of Rico as the "most painful" thing she had to go through.
"18 years,March 29 2002 the day that my soul & heart broke into pieces.the Most Painful pain one can only go through.Thank you RY for allowing our fans to still luv & remember u in our Hearts forever.#doubleinfinity️"
Last March 14, Claudine also remembered Rico Yan's birthday. He would have turned 45 years old that day.
She wrote on Instagram, "Happy Birthday in Heaven RY. Know that you are still loved & remembered."
